Nekton Reptiles

Nekton is a family company that was founded in 1967. The founder Günter Enderle started with a zoological specialist shop, especially for bird breeders. In 1969 the business was expanded to include import/export business including an approved quarantine station. Mr. Enderle supplied zoos and zoological dealers across Europe mainly with birds, but also to a lesser extent with reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
Animal welfare should always come first. Long transports and stays in the quarantine station did not always make it easy. Supplements for animals and species-appropriate bird food were still relatively unknown and rare on the market. Günter Enderle was an active breeder of birds and dogs and decided to create and test his own mixtures of vitamins, proteins, minerals and carotenoids together with other breeders and with the help of experts.
